If you've got bored kids during the summer holidays, The Met, Bury is holding a day of animation and mask making as part of the Family Friendly Film Festival on Saturday 16th August.

At 11am and 2.30pm you can enjoy Stories on Screen, a collection of six short films inspired by classic children's books. The one hour programme includes an adaptation of Maurice Sendak's much loved story Where The Wild Things Are. Admission is free but please book in advance as places are limited.

Horse and Bamboo Theatre will also be holding a special mask making workshop at 1pm. Be part of the wild adventure with Max from Where the Wild Things are and become one of the animals! This is also an opportunity to learn more about The Met's 2008 Christmas Show, In the Shadow of Trees, produced by Horse and Bamboo.

Workshop places are very limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Tickets are £2 and available through Quaytickets or from the Met's box office on 0161 761 2216.

16 August Time: 11:00 - 15:30
